FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) places disinfectant cleaners into one of four toxicity categories. Our Kwality Technology qualifies for a Category IV toxicity level which is noncorrosive, emits no harsh chemical fumes, and requires no gloves for use. 

The four toxicity categories, from least to most toxic are:

• Toxicity Category IV is Practically non-toxic and not an irritant.  Kwality Technology - NO caution statement required but we list guidelines anyway.
• Toxicity Category III is Slightly toxic and Slightly irritating. Requires CAUTION statement
• Toxicity Category II is Moderately toxic and Moderately irritating. Requires WARNING statement
• Toxicity Category I is Highly toxic and Severely irritating. Requires DANGER statement

Active ingredients are listed on each ProHygiene and ProGroom product label. In case you can’t read the small print on the label, here you go:  Benzalkonium Chloride, Polyhexamethylene Biguanide, Didecyldimonium Chloride.  If you’re curious what’s in the other 95%, it’s mostly filtered water, some surfactants to help with cleaning and disinfecting and specially selected, non-irritating fragrances where applicable.

No dyes of any kind are in all Kwality Technology products.

All products powered by Kwality Technology contains neither ammonia nor bleach.

Bleach is a powerful chemical that can also destroy germs. Unfortunately, bleach can also damage or stain the surfaces in your home and be harmful to our pets. Bleach also produces harsh, unpleasant fumes that can irritate the eyes, mouth and lungs. When bleach, alcohol or ammonia dries, it stops working. When Kwality Technology dries, it continues to work against germs for hours and even days!

Our scientists developed the Kwality Technology to be bleach-free while delivering strong, effective, and long-lasting germ control.

Although our unique actives do not actually expire, we suggest that products containing our Kwality Technology should be used within two years of purchase.

All Kwality ProHygiene products can be used in pet areas when used as directed.  The Kwality Technology found in these products is not dangerous if it comes in contact with pets’ skin or fur, but you should wipe excess amounts off the skin or fur with water.  If swallowed by a pet, call your vet immediately.

The Kwality ProHygiene range can be used in children’s areas, including high chairs and/or bathtubs, when used as directed.  Kwality ProHygiene does not emit harmful fumes and is non-corrosive on surfaces.

Like all germ-fighting disinfectant products, Kwality ProHygiene and ProGroom should not be ingested.  Please keep out of reach of children and uninformed persons.
